Toy Box Sessions (QCA History Unit 1) The children will learn about toys of the past; the materials that they were made of and how they worked. They can look at some old toys, play with a variety of reproductions and take part in a simple Victorian parlour game.

Costumes through Time (Chronological understanding) The children will learn about clothing in the past; the styles and materials used to make them. They will look at replica clothing from Ancient Egypt, Roman Britain, Tudor and Victorian times. Some children will be needed as models.

Victorian Washday (QCA History Unit 2) In this session, the children will learn about the labour intensive processes involved in washing clothes in the past. A variety of real and replica artefacts are used and the children will be taught a washday song.
