1840? Printed silk and cotton mix dress with whale bones

We are hoping that it will be possible to precisely date this dress based on the pattern.

A long dress, which is off the shoulder and long sleeved. It has stiffened starlined voile lining to make it stand out. 3/4 sleeves, with long sleeves inside which feature a mirror button. It is boned and the fabric is cream with silver stripes, and flowery, leafy pattern. It has organ/ cartridge pleating and would have had layers of petticoats and a bustle effect.

In this period the lady would have worn; a chemise, between four and six petticoats, a camisole, drawers, a corset and a bustle or crinolette.
