Monochrome photographic print showing Christ Church, Verulam Road, c.1900.Caption from "St Albans in Old Photographs" [ed. Mullins], p.35, reads: "Christ Church, Verulam Road, c.1900."Christ Church was begun as a Catholic Church by the M.P. Raphael before his sudden death in 1848. It remained unfinished until Mrs Worley completed it as a private chapel. It is now converted into offices.
