Samuel Ryder made his fortune founding Ryders Seeds, he opened offices and a floral hall for his seed company (the latter, seen here, is better known today as Café Rouge; the Ryders offices are now the Comfort Hotel). He is best remembered, however, as founder of the Ryder Cup.
