Monochrome photographic print showing the view looking down St Peters Street towards the Old Town Hall, St Albans in the mid-1880s. Note the young, recently planted trees, which still line St Peter's Street today.The old town hall was opened in 1831, designed in a neo-classical style by architect George Smith.
