Founded as the Hertfordshire County Museum in 1898, the Museum of St Albans tells the story of St Albans from the departure of the Romans to the present day.

Monday - Saturday 10.00am - 5.00pm 
Sunday 2.00 - 5.00pm

Admission free.

Group Bookings

Though admission is free all groups of 15 or more, must book to book in advance through our Programme Administrator, Brian Marpole on 01727 751820, as booked parties will always be given priority.

There is a small private car park next to the Museum - coaches can only pull up outside in Hatfield Road, or around the corner in St. Peter's Road, to drop off or collect passengers
