Learn about the many different leisure pursuits of the people of Verulamium, including socialising, listening to music, feasting, storytelling, reading, sports, visiting the public baths, gardening, hunting and fishing.

See what Verulamium's popular theatre would have looked like and learn about the plays performed there.

Religion played an important role in town life. Verulamium had several temples and its inhabitants worshipped many different gods. There are many religious objects on display, including lamps, statues, offerings made to the gods and sacred objects used in ceremonies.

In this part of the museum you can try a Roman board game or experience the recreated sounds of the theatre, baths and temple.
