Autumn Half-Term Activities

If you’re looking for activities to keep the kids amused during the Autumn half-term, we have things going on every day. There are drop-in craft activities, paper engineering and puppets.

Monday 23rd October, 2pm – 4pm (last entry 3.40pm)
Crafts in the Colonnade 

A simple drop-in make and take craft activity to keep you busy! All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
£1.50 (museum entry charge applies to all non-residents).

Tuesday 24th October, 2pm – 4pm (last entry 3.40pm)

Wednesday 25th October, 10.30am – 12.30pm
Roman Paper Engineering (Bookable session)

Back by popular demand, another opportunity to work with illustrator and paper engineer John O’Leary to create wonderful Roman themed masterpieces!  In this session, participants will learn how to use paper to create a piece of art to take away. Suitable for 8 – 13 year olds.

£6.00 (museum entry charge applies to all non-residents).

Wednesday 25th October, 1.30pm – 4.00pm (last entry 3.40pm)
Roman Paper Engineering (drop-in session)

In this drop-in session, help to co-create a giant work of three dimensional art! Suitable for ages 5 and over. Please note that at busy times our drop-in activities can be extremely popular and there may be a wait to take part. All children need to be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Thursday 26th October, all day
Museum Explorers

Borrow items from our explorer kit to help you investigate the museum. What will you discover as you venture into Verulamium Museum?
Free (museum entry charge applies to all non-residents).

Friday 27th October, 11am – 1pm (last entry 12.40pm)
Family Fridays – Puppets

Explore our collections with a drop-in craft and learning session.  Handle artefacts and make a souvenir to take home. All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.£2.50 (museum entry charge applies to all non-residents).
