Full length standing studio portrait of an unidentified young woman. This woman's dress suggests that this photograph was taken in the 1870s.
Cartes de visite were particularly popular in Europe between around 1860 - 1870, after which time they were surpassed in popularity by the similar but larger cabinet card.
