Description
Cast and turned bronze Roman bowl. Possibly part of a dining set with the decorated jugs. This bowl was cast in a mould with excess metal removed by turning on a lathe. The concentric circles on the underside of the footring, is also seen on the other vessels.From burial two, one of two early 2nd century AD Romano-British burials discovered at Turner's Hall Farm, Wheathampstead, Hertfordshire, in March 2002.
