If you are seeking an exclusive venue to host a business social meeting or community event, our wonderful museum transforms into a unique and atmospheric setting for your special evening. The stunning mosaics in the main gallery are a magnificent backdrop for a seated or standing gathering where guests can also enjoy our world class displays of artefacts from every day Roman life. The rotunda and colonnade built with flint and Roman style bricks to reflect prestigious buildings of the Roman era make the perfect setting for serving drinks, canapés or dining under the timber vaulted domed ceiling.
We also have two rooms which can be hired as part of your evening event, or separately during the day on weekends and some week days. These rooms can accommodate a wide range of activities from break out spaces to hosting sit-down meals, talks and lectures, conferences and meetings.
For a unique experience we can offer a personalised tour of our exhibits and even the opportunity to touch history with a selection of artefacts for your guests to handle and ask questions of our museum staff. You are welcome to arrange your own catering and supply your own alcohol with no corkage fee.
Our accredited internationally recognised museum is nestled in the superb location of Verulamium, a Scheduled Ancient Monument, neighbour to historical sites of interest and one hundred acres of award winning parkland. The large car park adjacent to the museum is free of charge after 6.30pm and the museum is easily accessible from the M1 and M25.
