The heart is an enduring and universal symbol. The Ancient Greeks saw the heart as the seat of the soul, the Egyptians as the centre of life and morality, and in the Medieval period the heart came to signify sincerity, bravery and courage. To celebrate Valentine’s Day join us for an illustrated journey exploring the history of the heart across cultures, times and place.
