The First Battle of St Albans, fought on 22 May 1455 in the middle of St Albans, traditionally marks the beginning of the Wars of the Roses. More than 550 years on come and discover the battle from the heart of the battlefield.
The demonstration this weekend is an opportunity to find out more about a key moment in St Albans past history. The model on show will be a representation of the First Battle of St Albans, fought in 1455 amongst the streets and the market place of St Albans. The model represents the medieval town of St Albans and highlights the key moments from the battle which came to a conclusion in the market place outside the museum.
There will be information sheets to hand and someone will be available throughout the day to answer any questions.
