Take part in a unique study day at Verulamium Museum and discover more about life in Roman Britain, exploring areas in the GCSE syllabus such as:
- Roman Baths
- Dinner parties and recitations
- Rituals and beliefs
Students will learn through various dynamic means. They will take part in drama activities, enacting a play during their study day and try their hand at problem solving by deciphering our Latin inscriptions. The students will also have the opportunity to investigate historic objects, handling artefacts discovered at Verulamium.
Your students will rotate around three activities and the day includes investigating the museum galleries, entry to which is included in the cost per student.
The dates of our forthcoming Latin days are:
- Thursday 23rd May 2019
2 hours (half day) | £6 per student | Up to 45 students per half day
**Smaller group bookings welcome**
Please note these experience days rely on 3 groups of a maximum 15 students rotating around 3 activities. The maximum we can book in per 2 hour session is 45 students.
However, we warmly welcome bookings of smaller groups and in these cases you will be rotated alongside a smaller group from another school. For each rotated group we require a minimum payment of 15 students. Subject to availablity.
