Verulamium Museum opened with a flourish in 1939 and ever since has been a focal point for Roman history, both locally and beyond.

Visit during the Roman Festival and celebrate the museum’s 80th year with hands on family activities, gallery talks and costumed characters who will bring the stories of Roman Britain and its excavations to life.

Entry to the museum will be free for all visitors all day (10am – 5pm) on Saturday 29 June and all activities (running between 11am and 4pm) will be free to attend.
