One in every four animals is a beetle, and so far, science has named more than 350,000 different kinds, with many more still unknown.
How do we know this, and what sort of science is it that investigates the diversity of insects?
Join Dr Chris Lyal to learn more about his work on the evolution of beetles, the discovery of new species, and studying them in New Zealand to Panama.
He’ll also explore some of the more bizarre forms they take, and just how beetles affect all of us.
