Join Chris Scivyer, chairman of the Handley Page Association, to explore the fascinating and unknown histories of Handley Page and Radlett Aerodrome. The legacy of Handley Page can still be seen across St Albans City & District as well as throughout the aviation world.
Chris grew up in Frogmore near St Albans, spending many happy hours in the garden pressed up against the back fence overlooking Radlett Aerodrome. The southern end of the runway was about 150yds from the fence. He had Victor bombers at the bottom of the garden! Chris still lives in the same house today, 50 years since the airfield closed. Chris’s talk will expand upon the current St Albans Museum online exhibition ‘A brief history of Handley Page and Radlett Aerodrome’.
This event will be held via zoom.
