Built on the site of one of the largest Roman cities in Britain, Verulamium Museum is filled with ancient treasures and some of the finest mosaics outside of the Mediterranean.
Bring the entire family and explore the wonders of Roman life, immerse yourself in recreated Roman rooms and admire the craftsmanship of the intricate large-scale mosaics on display. You can also see recent discoveries such as the Sandridge Hoard, a collection of 159 Roman gold coins.
In order to manage numbers in our gallery, we are operating a pre-booking system.
Please follow the link to the right to select the time and date of your visit and pay for your tickets ahead of your visit. Residents of St Albans district get free admission but you will need to show proof of address when you arrive.
Please note that we have temporarily removed the option to buy a joint ticket to Verulamium Museum and the Roman Theatre to avoid confusion as the Theatre is subject to several early closures times (due to theatre performances taking place) from 28 May until 11 July. It is possible to upgrade your ticket to a joint ticket on arrival at Verulamium Museum if the Theatre is open that day. Theatre opening times can be found on their website here.
