Meet local author Steven Vinacour and hear about his career and inspiration for his books, featuring Ted and his Time Travelling Toilet, with readings at 11am and 2pm.
Steven is an award-winning writer, producer and director for over 27 years. From television programmes to commercials and from live events to concerts, Steven’s career in comedy writing has enabled him to work for (nearly) every UK presenter (whether they know it or not). Steven has also performed as a stand-up comedian, and radio presenter. His first novel was published in 2020 and his fifth book, How To Be The Funniest Kid In School, was released in 2023.
Steven writes the best-selling series Ted & His Time-Travelling Toilet. The story of a young boy who just so happens to be able to flush himself down the toilet and travel back in time to meet historical figures who might just be able to help him solve the problems that everyday life throws at him. The books are sold all over the world and have proved popular with children from Hong Kong to South Africa.
Steven has travelled the UK extensively (carrying his own time-travelling toilet) visiting schools, bookshops and museums entertaining children (7-11) and running creative writing workshops where he explains how to turn an idea into a story. He shares his enthusiasm about writing, reading and thinking creatively.
As a local resident, Steven is delighted to be coming to Verulamium Museum where he will read, run creative writing workshops and answer any question you have.
