My response takes a light-hearted approach imagining the era shortly after the sign was installed.
I’ve aimed to add storytelling that brings the history to life especially for younger viewers.
As someone who loves illustrating for children I hope it helps spark their curiosity about our local heritage.
The illustration is 70cm high, print-resolution and layered.
I’m a freelance graphic designer and illustrator based in St Albans. While most of my work is design-led I’m keen to grow the illustration side of my practice—particularly for children’s audiences as it’s such a joyful and rewarding area to work in.
