The St Albans Clocktower has long inspired my hobbies. From being a secret meeting spot in a vampire novel, to a constant fixture in historical research (I have a keen interest the Plantagenet and Tudor eras, of which St Albans is full of references) the clocktower is a spot I point out to everyone I bring to St Albans, and the location of many a tongue in cheek photo.

While exploring different mediums, I fell in love with ink drawing, and have begun to develop a style inspired by the interior art in the books I read as a child - but one that relies on dots, rather than lines.

I recently attended an exhibition in Frome where an illustrator I deeply admire displayed her own works depicting medieval buildings; so when I saw the competition, it seemed a perfect excuse to finally attempt to draw a local historic site of which I am so fond.
