Celebrate South Asian Heritage Month with us at St Albans Museum + Gallery as we bring the Assembly Room to life with a vibrant Mini Mela inspired by this year's theme Unity in Diversity. Join us for a relaxed, drop-in festival where you can get involved in craft activities, henna, classical Indian dancing and more!
This beautiful design has been created by local artist Syeda Maham Batool of SB Henna Designs. Throughout the Mini Mela, visitors will have the opportunity to receive traditional henna designs from Syeda and learn more about the inspiration and detail behind this intricate artform.
As part of the Mini Mela, visitors can enjoy and participate in South Asian classical dance workshops led by dancer and choreographer Meera Vinay.
