Financial help with your school visit

Apply now for assistance of up to £300 towards coach costs for visits to Verulamium Museum in 2026-2027 (academic year). 

Thanks to Motor Fuel Group we are able to offer financial support towards the cost of coach travel for a limited number of schools to visit Verulamium Museum this year.

We know that the costs associated with booking a school trip, particularly of arranging travel, prevent some schools from giving their students the opportunity to experience a museum visit.

We are very fortunate to have received funding from Motor Fuel Group. This allows us to offer assistance with the cost of coach travel to Verulamium Museum of up to £300 for a limited number of schools.

Priority will be given to schools where more than 30% of pupils are in receipt of Pupil Premium funding and to those who haven't visited us in the past two years.  

Applications for funding must be submitted by Friday 23rd October. We will announce recipients in two waves), one by Friday 11th September and the second by Friday 30th October. We will be in touch by email.

The school will need to pay the costs of museum admission, school workshop and lunchroom hire, as well as any coach fees in excess of the £300.

Should your application be unsuccessful, we will keep your details for up to 12 months so we can contact you if further funding or opportunities become available.
