This 30-minute guided tour will reveal what coins can tell us about everyday life in Iron Age Britain, Roman Verulamium and the wider Roman Empire.

Learn how archaeologists use coins to date sites and uncover new evidence about the people who lived in on this site. 

David will highlight some of the most significant and intriguing coins in the collection, revealing how the coins were found and how to read the hidden stories that coins contain.

Participants will have the unique opportunity to handle selected Roman and Iron Age coins from the Verulamium Museum collection.
