Join curator Sarah Keeling for this exploration of just how much history can be hidden or recovered inside oral history recordings.
From hat making and seed selling to Zeppelins over St Peters Street (and not forgetting fights over horse manure) this talk explores life in St Albans in the early years of the twentieth century in the words of those who actually lived here. Oral History recordings can bring us very close to the past as we listen to the voices of St Albans' residents telling the stories they remember and how they felt living through them.
Special Offer: Mix and match 4 in-person tickets across our entire talks programme and get the 5th on free. (This is not a loyalty programme - all tickets must be purchased in one transaction.)
