Visit St Albans Museum + Gallery and Verulamium Museum this February Half Term for activities and events for all the family!
At St Albans Museum + Gallery we're excited to be hosting the University of Hertfordshire's mobile planetarium on Tuesday 17th and Wednesday 18th February. Have a look at our Celestial Explorer events A tour of the Solar System and Our Sky and Beyond for children aged 7+, or Earth, Sun and Moon for younger children.
Continuing the space theme on Thursday 19th February we have a Sun, Moon and Stars Clay Modelling workshop and on Friday 20th there's a Dragons and Dragon Eggs Modelling workshop using colourful clay which links to our current small display of dragons.

Over at Verulamium Museum, on Sunday 15th February there's a day of Romans vs Celts tabletop war games and a visit from a 'Roman soldier on Thursday 19th February. We have Archaeology for Families on Monday 16th and Friday 20th February. Linking to our new exhibition on Religion in Verulamium there's a new gods and goddesses trail to help you explore and on Friday 20th we have a 'Roman priest' visiting the museum for the day,
Activities at Verulamium Museum are included with entrance and not bookable in advance.
At both museums you can pick up trails, try artefact handling and dressing up and for younger visitors there are explorer buckets.
