We’re excited to announce a series of events exploring diverse local histories at St Albans Museum + Gallery that are free of charge and open to all!

In early 2027 you’ll be able to…

  • Join us for an afternoon of local history talks including disability and queer histories and histories of the global majority.
  • Next, we’ll be hosting a panel discussion produced by The Thomas-Ferdinand Gallery, where museums and galleries will be discussing, ‘Who Owns the Archive? Community-led Methods for Rewriting Histories'.
  • And then there will be an interactive afternoon for local residents to further their own research skills, meet the libraries and archives, and explore creative, innovative approaches to historical research.

**Tickets will go live at the end of November 2026. Join the Community History Network to hear details first.

Supported by St Albans Museums, the Community History Network aims to connect, assist and inspire those working on uncovering and sharing diverse local histories. All are welcome and we’d love you to be a part of it!

All events are free of charge and will include refreshments from diverse local businesses.

Book tickets early to avoid disappointment – please let us know access requirements when booking.
