Victorian Childhood: Crime and Punishment: Wednesday 21st April 2pm -4.45pm

  • Activities suitable for ages 7-11
  • Investigate genuine historical cases of children who faced trial in the courtroom here

 

2 hours of activities led by one of our team include investigating Victorian police artefacts and newspaper reports, a craft activity, and costumed role play in the Victorian courtroom after the museum's courtroom cafe has closed to the public. There will also be time to explore our current exhibition of Victorian Childhood in St Albans.

  • Role play of a case of Victorian child in the courtroom where the trial took place
  • Examine Victorian newspaper reports of children facing trial in St Albans
  • Investigate Victorian police artefacts 

 

Activities are suitable for ages 7 - 11 and are not suitable for younger children.
