Join us at our community painting days! We’re bringing our ideas to life and need your help to paint our mural.

Everyone is invited and all ages are welcome—no experience is necessary.

Just bring your energy as we work together to create something beautiful for our local community to enjoy.

The sessions will be facilitated by Aisha Adi, who has helped create other murals in the city.  Come share your ideas and help us create something truly special together.

More about the Honouring Our Communities Mural Project

Inspired by the Black History Month 2026 theme of Honouring Our Communities, the Black History Research Group (BHRG) have been collecting new oral histories from local residents with African or Caribbean heritage.

These stories will now inspire the design of a brand new public mural painting, conceived of by artist Aisha Adi, BHRG Chair and a local mural painter.

We'd love your help to paint the mural at the Community Painting Sessions.

The finished mural will be displayed on the railings of St Albans Museum + Gallery October-November 2026.
