We’re excited to announce a series of events exploring diverse local histories at St Albans Museum + Gallery that are free of charge and open to all!
In early 2027 you’ll be able to…
- Join us for an afternoon of talks including disability, LGBTQ+, working class, Black and South Asian local histories.
- Next, we’ll be hosting a panel discussion produced by The Thomas-Ferdinand Gallery, where museums and galleries will be discussing, ‘Who Owns the Archive? Community-led Methods for Rewriting Histories'.

And then there will be an interactive afternoon for local residents to further their own research skills, meet the libraries and archives, and explore creative, innovative approaches to historical research.
Supported by St Albans Museums, the Community History Network aims to connect, assist and inspire those working on uncovering and sharing diverse local histories. All are welcome and we’d love you to be a part of it!
