St Albans Museum + Gallery is marking the 80th anniversary of the end of the Second World War with a new display in the Assembly Room which centres the experiences of individuals from St Albans City and District as a way of humanising and personalising the wartime topics we think we know. The display opens on Thursday 8th May to commemorate the 80th anniversary of VE Day - the end of World War II in Europe.
On Saturday 10th May, local community choir "The Monday Choir" will be performing a number of wartime songs in the Assembly Room.
There will be two performances one at midday and the second at 2pm.
