Vacancies at St Albans Museum + Gallery café with Leafi
We are currently recruiting for roles based at the on site café which is run by Leafi.

The café offers barista-made coffees and pastries as well as freshly made hot and cold lunch options, served in the octagonal historic Courtroom or at the outside seating on the market place. Made with locally sourced ingredients, there are tempting cakes, freshly baked scones and a selection of speciality teas throughout the day. We are looking for an experienced, multi-talented barista. The role includes:

  • Serving customers - hot & cold food & beverages
  • Ensuring all displays, counters and seating areas are well presented
  • Quality checking our stock.
  • Operating a till
  • Working evening events shift when necessary
  • We provide 1 free meal per shift
  • Rota basis, normally from c.9am - c.6pm with weekend and evening events
  • Full-time, £8.00 to £8.50 per hour

Kitchen Porter:
We are looking for an energetic & positive kitchen porter to join our team.
Your role will be a combination of pot and dish washing & general cleaning.

  • Previous experience not required
  • We provide 1 free meal per shift
  • Rota basis, normally from c.9am - c.6pm with weekend and evening events
  • Part-time, 5 days per week role, £8.00 – £8.21 per hour

Assistant Manager
We are looking for an enthusiastic, responsible and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team. You will have a bright and positive personality. This is a full-time position, we work on a r
ota basis, normally from c.9am - c.6pm with weekend and evening events. The salary will be between £20,000 to £22,000, dependent on experience. The role includes:

  • training, motivating, directing and encouraging the front-of-house team
  • building a great team atmosphere and working environment
  • offering a great customer service experience
  • being a problem solver and strong support for the manager
  • bringing a positive and proactive approach
  • managing rotas, cashing up and banking
  • managing stock control and ordering
  • deputising for the manager in their absence
  • supporting events
