Types of volunteering:
Regular volunteering e.g: schools workshop support
These require a level of regular commitment, set time slots.
Irregular volunteering e.g: family craft activities, visitor surveys
No regular commitment, set time slots.
Flexible volunteering e.g: transcribing oral history recordings / research
No set time slots or commitment, volunteer from home / remotely.
Some opportunities are recruited for regularly (family craft activities, collecting visitor surveys), but others (collections documentation, curatorial, exhibitions) are recruited for occasionally or only once.
